Collection Of Fees Ordinance

Gerrish Township Police and Fire Department’s Collection of Fees Ordinance No. XXI: An ordinance to secure the public peace, health, and safety of the residents and property owners of the Township of Gerrish, Roscommon County, Michigan, a municipal corporation, by the authorization of the Police and Fire Departments to collect fees for service.

The Township Board of Gerrish Township, Roscommon County, Michigan, Ordains:

SECTION 1. TITLE.

This ordinance shall be known and cited as the Gerrish Township Police and Fire Departments Collection of Fees Ordinance.

SECTION 2. DEFINITIONS.

Standard Operating Procedures – Manuals, approved by the Gerrish Township Board, that specify the policies and procedures of operation for the Police and Fire Departments.

SECTION 3.

The Police and Fire Departments shall have the authority to charge fees for the purpose of recovering cost for services. The Standard Operating Procedures for the respective departments will specify the specific fees. This ordinance is authorized and based on the Michigan State Statute MCL 41.806a Sec. 6a.

SECTION 4. EFFECTIVE DATE.

This ordinance shall take effect on the date of publication. (February 14, 1993)
