Pre-Emergency Safety Plan
Emergencies can occur at any time and often when we least expect them. Planning for these unfortunate events can help the outcomes to be better and potentially save lives and property. We would be glad to help you plan and prepare for these events. Sometimes referred to as “Preincident Surveys” where we would be invited into your residence or place of business to help recognize potential hazards and determine resources that may be required for different emergent scenarios. These are Not inspections simply a walkthrough to offer suggestions to the property owner and to allow our responders to be better prepared with what resources will be needed in the event that our services are requested.
Things to consider:
- Size of Driveway (Ability of Emergency Vehicles to Access Property)
- Trip Hazards in Home
- Utility Locations, Basement/No Basement,
- Ramp/Steps Into Home (What will it take to get EMS cot into the house)
- Hazardous Materials Stored on Property
- Number of Roofs, Medications
- Medical History
- End-of-Life Wishes
- Food Supply for You and Pets
- Secondary Heat Sources
These are just a few of the things we could help discuss with you during an Emergency Planning Visit. Please let us know if you would be willing to meet our staff at your residence or place of business to have these discussions.
